Edward (Ed) was born in Antigua, British West Indies as the fourth child of Rev. Ruel Alister Charles Sr. and Estella (Elvin) Charles. At the age of five, my mother passed away and several years later, in 1958, my father was united in marriage to Rev. My hobbies include Sports Officiating, playing golf, reading, crossword puzzles, traveling and being a sports fan (Go Celtics).

We live in the North Dallas area and our blending family includes four children and seven grand-children, one son-in-law, and two daughters-in-law.

We joined The Mount in October of 1986 and have been active since that time. We are both certified lay counselors and participate with the Marriage ministry team as lay pre-marital counselors. We also served as Executive directors for the only Lifestyle Stewardship Campaign held here at The Mount.
